To the Casa delCampo Guest House
12640 Greenfields Way
Grass Valley, CA 95945

From Grass Valley/Nevada City (Highway 49):

1)  Get yourself onto Highway 174 East, either by taking the Downtown Grass Valley/174exit or the Brunswick Road exit.  If you get on 174 at the start in Grass Valley, you will drive through the village of Cedar Ridge and proceed towards Colfax. If you intercept 174 via Brunswick, you will come out east of Cedar Ridge-- turn left at the stop where Brunswick ends.
2)  Either way, just under a mile past the Brunswick intersection, you will be looking for Meadow Drive on your right. On the way you will pass the Best Friends Vet Clinic on your right.  Next, look for a beige colored barn in the meadow on the right.  Meadow Drive is immediately on your right.  It does NOT go left.  If you miss this turn and find Meadow View Drive (which goes both ways across 174) you have gone too far and need to turnaround.
3)  Proceed about a half a mile on Meadow Drive. Please go the speed limit, as there are critters about.  You will pass three streets on your right: Oak Circle (twice) and High Sierra. Just past High Sierra on your right will be a stand of mailboxes, followed immediately by a 25 MPH road sign with a giant arrow showing a curve to the left.  SLOW DOWN!  Greenfields Way is just past the road sign on the right.
4)  PLEASEUSE CAUTION! The Way turns precipitously downhill to the right and is blind to neighbors coming up the road.
5)  Proceed down Greenfields to the bottom, about a tenth of a mile.  The speed limit is 5 MPH.  Watch out for chickens, deer and cats.
6)  At the bottom of the Way, turn sharply to the right and you are here.  Boo and Marley will assure you you’ve got the right address.   If the gate is closed, you get to meet them in a polite society manner.  If not, drive on in slowly, don't stop, and pull up in front of the Casita, to the right of the main house.  We'll be there to rescue you momentarily!

From Colfax (Highway 80):

1)  Turn off of Interstate 80 Eastbound/Westbound at the Colfax/Grass Valley/174 Exit.  Go over the freeway to the stop.  Turn right.  The next stop is the beginning of Highway 174.  After a healthy mile or so (passing the Red Frog, Colfax Veterinary Clinic and the Just Out Of Town cabins, all on your right) the highway takes a sharp left hand turn (oncoming traffic has a stop). There is a giant sign indicating this turn about 800 feet before the intersection.  If you miss this turn and end up at Rollins Lake, turn around; go back to the stop, then turn right.
2)  The highway winds down through a small canyon, crosses over the Bear River Bridge, and back up through the hamlet of Chicago Park.  After about 5 miles you will be in the even smaller hamlet of Peardale. There is an engine house for the volunteer fire department on the left, just before the burnt-out ruins of the Backroom Steak House.  Once this far, look for Meadow View Drive (crosses both sides of 174) and DO NOTTAKE IT!  Go a couple of tenths of a mile further and look for Meadow Drive, a left-turn only going this direction.  There is a beige goat barn on the corner on the left.
SLOWDOWN!  Greenfields Way is just past the road sign on the right.
